Return to Buckley Systems does not Disappoint
Return to Buckley Systems does not Disappoint.
The
faces of the returning tour groups said it all when MESNZ
returned to Buckley Systems for their second Kaeser
Compressors Network Evening. Once the groups had been given
the grand tour of the amazing facilities, there was no doubt
in their minds that they were in the presence of a world
class manufacturing company.
Buckley Systems Auckland Manufacturing plant produces huge high precision electromagnets, charged particle beam systems and high vacuum equipment for use in medical therapy technology, border security systems and particle accelerators for physics research.
Bill Buckley the Patron of MESNZ the winner of many awards, and winner of NZ Hi-Tech Awards and NZ Entrepreneur of the year, has never sat back and enjoyed the labours of his achievements, he is a self driven Engineering Genius.
Interest in the evening once again exceeded the Buckley teams hosting capability and for the second year running, disappointed late punters were turned away. Never wishing to disappoint his fellow engineers, Bill has vowed to host an evening again next year. For those fortunate enough to be invited for the plant tour it was a real eye opener to learn what he is continuing to strive for and the total package he and his team have put together for the benefit of many globally.
The MESNZ Kaeser Compressors Network Evenings are hosted to showcase local operations and provide networking opportunities for engineers across all regions of New Zealand. The evenings offer the opportunity to take a look at the host operation and discuss common issues and solutions in a relaxed after work environment. Open to interested members of the public, the nights are well patronised. As well as learning firsthand about the capabilities and global achievements of Buckley Systems, the attendees enjoyed much appreciated light refreshments prepared by Bills own team..
The Maintenance Engineering
Society is active across New Zealand, providing professional
development opportunities for maintenance engineers and
manufacturing operations to network and share innovations
and experiences; both at a national level at their annual
national conference or at these regional events. The 2017
National Maintenance Engineering Conference will be held at
the Claudelands Event Centre, Hamilton in
November.
