Smart personal Safety Device protecting lone workers

Smart personal Safety Device protecting lone workers.

Recently there has been a change in legislation placing more emphasis on the protection of lone workers. In a lot of cases these workers have not been able to reach out for assistance when in trouble, leading to otherwise preventable injury or death. With the introduction of Stay Safe and Rescue plus, employers have a tool to keep their employees safe when working alone in isolated and remote locations.

Stay safe is a mobile safety application that uses a cloud based hub to receive alerts from an accident or incident that may occur from an isolated worker. The user initiates a tracking session when they are about to begin their work. Meanwhile the hub monitors will receive notifications when an alert is raised.

To make sure that their workers are safe throughout the working day, Employers have the ability to set fixed check in periods within a session. Employees have a timeframe to check in around this point. If they were to miss a sign in period, then a missed check in will be raised to the employer.

Rescue Plus aims to reduce the risk of workplace accidents and fatalities, while also increasing communication between workers and employers. Rescue Plus is an impact emergency device that is activated when a worker has an accident.

The device uses GPS signalling to send a distress call to emergency services. Rescue Plus can be set off automatically during a roll over incident, or the user can set the device off manually if other incidents occur. This is a great benefit to workers who are frequently working outside of cellular network zones.
