Media Suite joins the All of Government Web Services Panel

Media Suite joins the All of Government Web Services Panel

Building the right thing is just one piece of the puzzle at Media Suite.

As a proud new member of the Web Services Panel (WSP), we are looking forward to a faster, more affordable procurement process for our government agency clients.

The WSP replaces and improves the Common Web Services Panel, first introduced in 2012.

It is managed by the Department of Internal Affairs. The new panel is made up of 81 pre-approved vendors that any Government agency can call on to provide web services.

Media Suite is one of only a handful of selected vendors in the South Island.

Panel membership streamlines the contractual process and provides a framework for the relationship between vendor and agency. By using the WSP, agencies no longer have to tender each of their outsourced web projects, saving time and money.

Any Government agency can subscribe to the panel, including Government departments, local councils, ministries and state-run organisations.

Media Suite was selected for the panel this year to provide web development services including visual design services, front end development, back end development, native mobile app development and ongoing technical support services.

Director George Wills says, “Simplifying the procurement process for our Government partners is a win-win.

“It’s not about us, it’s about our clients. Currently, the procurement of Web Services can be a costly and complex process for our Government customers.

“The new panel should lead to better relationships between participating agencies and vendors.

“We’ve been working with Government agencies for a long time, and one of the key frustrations has been around balancing contractual security with the flexibility needed to deliver the best possible outcome for the client.

“Looking at this standardised panel contract, it’s clear that the Department of Internal Affairs has put a lot of thought and care into making it work for both parties.

“Our agency clients now have the right contractual framework for the kind of work we are doing. At the end of the day, this is a big win for our clients, and for us.”

Wills believes the panel’s built-in vendor review and feedback process will also be beneficial for the NZ web industry as a whole.

Media Suite is a boutique web development company based in Ferrymead, Christchurch with clients across New Zealand and overseas. The company delivers ambitious web and mobile projects with user-driven requirements.
