Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce and Deloitte Private – Media Release

Inductees to Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame

Huge congratulations are in order for the eight businesses that were inducted at the Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame awards hosted by Deloitte Private and the Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

The eight businesses inducted were; Gillies Realty/Gillies Group, Label and Litho, LT McGuinness Ltd, Macaulay Metals Limited, Metal Art Ltd, Pertronic Industries Ltd, Sanpro Industries Ltd and Tuohy Homes Ltd.

“The Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame is a unique award which recognises and celebrates those enduring businesses that have made significant contributions to the economic and social fabric of our region,” says Hutt Valley Chamber of Commerce & Industry President Neville Hyde.

“The eight businesses, inducted at a celebratory gala dinner held in Lower Hutt on 7 July 2017, join an illustrious group of regional businesses previously inducted into the Business Hall of Fame. The passion exuded by all of the representatives of the inducted businesses speaks volumes for the reasons of their business success.”

Deloitte Private Director Stuart Darvill says it is an honour to support this initiative.

“At Deloitte we aim to make an impact that matters in the communities and markets we work in. One of the ways we do this is by helping celebrate and encourage the success of New Zealand-based organisations,” says Mr Darvill.

“The companies honoured this year embody the ultimate measure of business success – longevity. They have been grown and nurtured for at least 20 years. And while they have no doubt adapted and changed over time, they are the types of businesses their founders and communities can be proud of.”

Wellington Region Business Hall of Fame is celebrated every July with eight inductees per annum.
