Five-year milestone for Convene South
Five-year milestone for Convene South
The South Island’s only conference tradeshow kicks off in Christchurch for the fifth year running next week.
Convene South 2017, being held on Tuesday 12 September at Wigram‘s Air Force Museum, is an annual expo showcasing Christchurch and the South Island’s offerings to conference organisers around New Zealand.
Exhibitors consist of stand-alone venues, hotels, speakers and entertainers, audio visual companies, theme companies, caterers, convention bureaux, and transport operators. Buyers include professional conference and incentive organisers, association executives and other group travel planners.
ChristchurchNZ’s Convention Bureau and Industry Partnership Manager Caroline Blanchfield said Convene South gives attendees the opportunity to conduct face-to-face business with a highly qualified and targeted audience.
“The event was designed to put Christchurch and the South Island back on the map for conferencing post-earthquake. It is worth a visit from anyone interested in knowing what sort of conferencing venues are available, as well as the services needed to support hosting a conference.”
Entry to the expo is free, with registration available at www.convenesouth.co.nz
