Coretex Certifies ELD Solution

Coretex Certifies ELD Solution

Coretex Adds Electronic Logging Device to In-cab and Compliance Packages

Auckland, New Zealand. 19th September 2017, Coretex, a leader in Active Fleet Management solutions announced that it has certified its ELD solution with the FMCSA.

Coretex’s ELD solution is fully compliant with the US Federal ELD mandate, which comes into effect on December 18th 2017. It is compatible with all vehicle types and has been written from the ground up by Coretex engineers. The solution uses the company’s existing range of TMU in-vehicle hardware and is tightly integrated into both Coretex 360, the company’s feature-rich fleet management system and Coretex DRIVE, its Android-based in-cab system.

The Coretex solution incorporates a range of features not found in basic ELD solutions. It includes support for all US and Canadian driver rule-sets, support for team, exempt and shorthaul drivers and support for both permanent and temporary vehicle installations.

Drivers using Coretex’s solution can view availability in multiple rule-sets and check availability prior to logging in to the system through Coretex DRIVE. The solution includes an interactive graph and multi-edit feature for easy log editing. For supervisors and back office staff, the solution incorporates a full suite of ELD compliance reports and an easy to use dashboard for easy tracking and management of compliance obligations.

ELD capability is included as an integrated feature within Coretex’s In-cab and Compliance packages. In addition to ELD, In-cab solutions incorporate a broad range of functionality such as driver behavior monitoring, integrated cameras and job workflow, which are all key to the efficient and safe operation of any modern fleet.

Selwyn Pellett, Coretex Chief Executive Officer said “The addition of ELD to our in-cab proposition is a major milestone for the business. The ELD mandate is arguably the single most important transformative event in the history of telematics and I’m very pleased to be part of it. Providing fleet operators with a tightly integrated and easy to use system for managing ELD compliance is key to giving customers the Single Point of Operational Truth that they need to run safe and efficient operations.”

The ELD mandate is designed to improve compliance with Hours of Service rules, with the objective of reducing non-compliance, improving safety and reducing the overall paperwork burden associated with compliance. Coretex’s solution is a cost effective and powerful solution that goes beyond basic ELD, giving customers a truly integrated Active Fleet Management solution.
