New Zealand Television Award Winners Announced Thursday

Three is celebrating its 28th birthday this month and to continue the good news, the channel is currently tracking on a 20.2% share year-to-date, an increase of 4.7% year-on-year.

Season two of Wanted starring Kiwi actress Rebecca Gibney premiered on Monday evening with a 3.7 rating and 12.6% audience share in the crucial 25-54 demographic. The season will run for another four weeks and is on Monday evening at 8.30pm. This week the drama comes to New Zealand as the lead characters seek refuge in Otago.

Monday evening also saw Newshub take on The AM Show in All Star Family Feud. Newshub took the victory, and the show had a rating of 5.1 and 14.8% audience share in the 25-54 demographic. Tonight, we see Mai FM take on The Rock at 7.30pm.

Australian Ninja Warrior is into its third week and won its timeslot on Wednesday evening across three demographics (25-54, 18-39, 18-49), with a 6.3 rating and 23.7% audience share in the 25-54 demographic. This was followed by a timeslot winning show of NCIS: Los Angeles (25-54, 18-39, 18-49) with a 3.9 rating and 16.0% audience share in 25-54.

Finally, the New Zealand Television Awards are taking place this Thursday, 30th November. MediaWorks has 24 nominations across 13 categories including Best News Coverage (Newshub), Best Presenter: News and Current Affairs (Mike McRoberts, Kanoa Lloyd, Jesse Mulligan), Best Comedy (Jono & Ben, 7 Days, Funny Girls*), Best Drama Series (Westside*), Best Current Affairs Programme (The Hui) and Best Factual Series (Great War Stories*).
