AM Show Wins The Week, 7 Days Returns to Ratings Success

THE AM SHOW WINS THE WEEK,
7 DAYS RETURNS TO RATINGS SUCCESS

It was a huge week for the The AM Show winning the week with an average rating of 1.7 and 33.9% share within the commercially important 25-54 demographic. Duncan, Mark and Amanda were the most popular choice for viewers aged 25-54, winning the timeslot on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursdayand Friday morning.

Local comedy juggernaut 7 Days* came back with a bang on Friday evening, with a 5.3 rating and a 20.2% share in the 25-54 demographic, winning its timeslot and growing its audience by 2.6 share points year-on-year. 7 Days was followed by the debut of Josh Thomson’s new local comedy Subject: Dad*,also winning its timeslot with a 3.7 rating and 17% share in the same demographic.

Kiwis couldn’t get enough of House Rules during its final week with an average weekly rating of 5.7 and 22.4% share in the 25-54 demographic, winning its timeslot on Monday, Wednesday and Sunday. Sunday’s grand finale was the highest rating House Rules episode of the week with a 7.0 rating and 24.5% share amongst 25-54s, as viewers tuned in to see Aaron and Daniella win the House Rules crown and $200,000 AUD. The hugely successful Married At First Sight Australia launches tonight with a brand new season, and continues on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday.

Lost & Found* also finished its season on a high, winning its timeslot on Tuesday with a 4.7 rating and 19.2% share within the 25-54 demographic. New Zealand continues its love affair with Graham Norton, with Graham Norton’s Big Red Chair Special winning its timeslot on Wednesday with a 4.5 rating and 19.5% share amongst 25-54s, and brand new episodes of The Graham Norton Show on Friday hitting a 4.9 rating and a 16.8% share in the same demographic.

Popular digital streaming app rova kicked off its first rovacast over the weekend, commentating on the 2018 HSBC New Zealand Sevens. Commentators including sports funnyman James McOnie, The Edge Breakfast’s Dom, Meg & Randell, and Ling and Zing from The Block, entertained Sevens fans all weekend long with the action from FMG Stadium Waikato in Hamilton.
