Jasmax Announces Sjoerd Post as new Chief Executive

26/08/2018

Sjoerd Post is to be the new chief executive of leading architecture firm, Jasmax, effective September 2018.

Post assumes the newly shaped role of CEO from former Managing Principal and respected architect, Marko den Breems. Den Breems, who resigns from the role after six years, led the strategic direction of the firm, governance and operations through what has been New Zealand’s largest construction boom. He leaves Jasmax after 24 years to take an extended break with his family and travel, before looking to explore new governance and business leadership opportunities. On behalf of Jasmax, Chair of the Board Karen Price thanks den Breems for his considerable contribution and wishes him well in his new endeavours.

Post is a highly experienced international executive with over 30 years’ experience in leadership positions at both Shell International Trading Company and NZX-listed Refining New Zealand. Post’s appointment signals a realignment of business objectives for Jasmax as it nears its sixth decade in operation. He has a proven track record of revenue and organisational growth as CEO of Refining New Zealand. His keen focus on culture and performance also led to significantly improved environmental performance for the business. Successes that align with the future direction of Jasmax.

Jasmax Chair Price, comments, “Sjoerd’s strong business focus will bring analytical rigour to this highly creative business. His values align with Jasmax’s keen social commitment. It is an exciting pairing for the future of the business and its clients.”
