Craig Young, CEO TUANZ, says: "The representation on our judging panel shows the important role of high quality connectivity to our day-to-day lives and the future of New Zealand. These awards fit very well with TUANZ’s goal of continuing to advocate for ubiquitous high quality connectivity across New Zealand and the need to continue to recognise improvements and innovation in this area."

Gavin Male adds that "The Broadband Compare TUANZ Awards are all about recognising achievements and innovations across the broadband and communications sector. A strong ICT sector that produces accessible and high speed internet is critical to the many conveniences New Zealanders enjoy in their lives. It contributes to our economic growth impacting regional commerce, education, government operations, enhancing our culture, and allowing us to connect with the world."

Last year’s recipients of the awards included a double victory for Slingshot as winner of the Broadband Compare People’s Choice Award and Consumer NZ Broadband Provider of the Year. Winners for other categories included 2Degrees, Solarix, Slingshot, MegaTEL, Now NZ, Wireless Nation, My Republic, Slip, and Stuff Fibre.
