Cash prize for millennials up for grabs

Cash prize for millennials up for grabs

An opportunity for students to get creative and win $1500 has launched this month nationwide.

Financial advisers LifeCovered have announced their LifeCovered Millennials Scholarship, where they aim to better understand how millennials in New Zealand buy life insurance online.

What better way to understand millennials than to go straight to the source themselves and gain perspective.

“We want to appeal to the younger generation with the scholarship,” said LifeCovered financial adviser Will Olsen.

“Millennials think in ‘Google terms’ so everything is accessed online.

“Statistics from other markets show that this age group rarely wants to meet with advisers face-to-face. They prefer to do everything online. So, we want to find out how we earn trust online with that age group and become approachable to them.”

The cash prize competition is open to current full-time undergraduate students in New Zealand, who have a minimum average of a B grade.

Students are encouraged to get creative and create a 1-2 minute video on how to gain trust with millennials, and submit it online at lifecovered.nz/scholarship before the April 12, 2019deadline.

The videos will be studied internally for the purpose of better understanding millennials, and the winning video will be showcased on LifeCovered’s website.
