Bachcare expands services into the Te Anau holiday home market

Bachcare has expanded its holiday home management services into Te Anau with the recent purchase of Te Anau Holiday Homes.

Te Anau local Stephanie Braaksma of Te Anau Holiday Homes says, her holiday home owners will be in good hands with Bachcare, a company that really cares about their owners and guests. Being New Zealand owned and operated, I am confident the local presence will be maintained, which was important to me.

Bachcare Fiordland, officially launches in Te Anau on Friday 21 September with a portfolio of 10 Te Anau properties, all of which have owners based in the lower South Island.

Leslie Preston, Founder of Bachcare, says they are delighted to be expanding into Te Anau.

“Stef has done a great job building her business over the last 8 years looking after over 8,000 guests during that time, as well as ensuring her owners holiday homes are well managed. Many of these holiday homes have been in owners’ families for years, they hold precious family memories and it’s great that they choose to share their happy place with other people.”

“Bachcare is 100% kiwi owned and operated and we take being local very seriously. We understand the importance of having people on the ground in a region and that’s why we are currently recruiting for a Te Anau Holiday Home Manager to join our team of 95 managers located throughout the country.”

“We also use local tradespeople, cleaners and suppliers where possible as it’s important the community benefits from holiday homes in more ways than just money spent on tourism activities or in cafes, pubs and restaurants. We bring the benefit of our national reach combined with the existing local touch”.

Nathan Mills, Executive Director of Ashburton based Genesis Private Equity Limited which is an investor in Bachcare, says he is delighted to see Bachcare expanding into the Fiordland region.
"Having been brought up in Invercargill I have holidayed in Te Anau regularly and understand first-hand how special this part of the country is. I have fantastic memories of fishing on the lake, water ski-ing at Dock Bay, playing golf at the local golf club and rounding the day off at the Moose Bar."

“Te Anau is a great holiday destination that is seeing more and more visitors and not just during the summer months. It’s no longer a quick stop on the map before heading to Milford Sound, it’s become a destination in its own right."

Destination Fiordland Chair, Gareth Davis said, Bachcare entering the Fiordland region is another solid signal that the region is being taken seriously as a domestic and international visitor destination. We are delighted Bachcare is decided to set up shop in Fiordland and Destination Fiordland looks forward to working with them in the future.
