It’s a Merry Christmas in Air New Zealand’s lounges

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas in Air New Zealand’s lounges with the airline adding a number of festive touches for customers travelling over the holidays.

From tomorrow, the airline’s lounge menus will include a taste of Christmas from fresh New Zealand strawberries with whipped cream and Christmas mince tarts through to the quintessential Kiwi glazed ham with ciabatta rolls and mustards in some of the larger lounges.

There will also be treats for the airline’s younger customers with little ones visiting the Auckland international and domestic lounges and Wellington and Christchurch domestic lounges able to decorate gingerbread Christmas trees with icing and sprinkles.

Lounge customers travelling out of Auckland can enjoy a festive drop of champagne at a dedicated Laurent Perrier champagne bar. The pop up will run in the airline’s international and domestic lounges at Auckland Airport at select times over the Christmas season.

Air New Zealand is also serving up a celebratory pink gin cocktail throughout December in its Auckland international and domestic lounges, Wellington domestic, Christchurch domestic and Queenstown lounges. The cocktail comprises pink gin, fresh strawberries and tonic served on ice.

Air New Zealand Manager Global Lounges Ali Swarbrick says, “Our lounge team is in the midst of its busiest month of the year with hundreds of thousands of customers expected to pass through our lounges. We hope they enjoy the special touches the team has put together and a merry moment before their flight this Christmas season.”
