27% lift for Turangi caps off great year for C21

Century 21 New Zealand

Wednesday, 6 March 2019

Turangi was one of New Zealand’s strongest performers in real estate for 2018 according to the latest OneRoof Property Report, capping off a great year for Century 21 Premier (Turangi).

Median property values in Turangi rose by a staggering 27% in 2018, with a rise of 13% in the last quarter alone. A total of 159 Turangi sales were recorded for 2018, with the median property value at $232,000 as of 1 November 2018. The total value of Turangi sales for 2018 was over $34 million.

The news follows local salesperson Roger Webb of Century 21 Premier (Turangi) being named Century 21 New Zealand’s Top Salesperson for 2018 for Units (the number of properties listed and sold) at the company’s Annual Awards Gala Dinner in Auckland last month.

With the OneRoof Property Report pointing to a very strong fourth quarter for Turangi, Century 21 also enjoyed a strong end to the year locally.

In fact, for the fourth quarter Roger Webb won both Units and GCC (Gross Closed Commission) categories nationwide. This saw him finish the year as Century 21’s all-round leading salesperson across the country. He also took away the real estate company’s prestigious Centurion Award.

“Turangi has enjoyed a significant lift in house prices and demand in the past few years. Nonetheless it remains one of the most affordable areas in New Zealand. For Roger to list and sell the most properties for the company nationwide in 2018 highlights just how good he really is,” says Wai Johnson, franchise owner of Century 21 Premier (Turangi).

Ms Johnson says the extra activity has meant Century 21 Premier (Turangi) has recently employed three more team members, Logan Gilbert, John Smith and Marina Asher broadening its expertise and the geographical area it services.

She says one key factor to Century 21’s success has been their support for local charities and volunteer services. Next month they’re hosting an Easter charity auction and evening on 20 April in Turangi to raise money for the Greenlea Rescue Helicopter.

“Turangi is a stunning performer and Century 21 Premier is right at the centre of it. They’re a fantastic team focused on service, the community, and getting results. 2019 is already looking like another good year for Turangi,” says Ryan Mitchell, National Manager of Century 21 New Zealand.
