Three is the Number One Channel for 25-54s

MEDIAWORKS WEEKLY HIGHLIGHTS RELEASE

11 MARCH 2019

THREE IS THE NUMBER ONE CHANNEL FOR 25-54s, WINS FIFTH CONSECUTIVE WEEK

Three is the number one channel for 25-54s in the all-important peak period for 2019 (year-to-date). This is a monumental milestone for the channel which has also won for the fifth consecutive week, averaging a 24.5% share - the highest weekly share since September 2017. Night wins on Monday (26.9% share), Tuesday (29.4% share) and Wednesday (28.1% share) complemented the week’s win in the commercially important 25-54 demographic.

MediaWorks Chief Content Officer, Andrew Szusterman, says; “The strategy was simple: offer New Zealanders more of themselves on screen and through shows like The Block NZ, Dancing with The Stars NZ, Married At First Sight NZ, 7 Days*, Westside* and Grand Designs NZ*, and the network has delivered. Three's number one channel position is a turning point in its 30-year evolution, one we are all incredibly proud of."

Married at First Sight Australia still reigns as the number one programme with 25-54s year-to-date and celebrated timeslot wins on Monday (34.3% share, 181,300 viewers), Tuesday (35.5% share, 164,900 viewers), Wednesday (33.5% share, 154,700 viewers) and last night (33.6% share, 179,300 viewers), averaging an incredible 32.4% share last week. The show continues to lead on ThreeNow with on demand viewing up 14% year-on-year and live-streaming up a massive 43%. The AM Show is also combatting the competition, winning on Tuesday (30.3% share, 29,000 viewers), Thursday (28.9% share, 30,800 viewers) and Friday (27.4% share, 24,600 viewers) morning.

Other wins for the week:
Monday - The Rookie (21.4% share, 100,000 viewers) Tuesday - NCIS (21.6% share, 85,500 viewers) Wednesday - Talking Married (18.2% share, 68,900 viewers)

Finally, The Rock Morning Rumble called the thoroughly deserving winner of their Smile High Club competition this morning. Young single mum Chanel suffers from arthritis and her teeth have been falling to pieces, causing her to lose all self confidence and the desire to smile. Thanks to Dental Care West, Chanel will receive a dental makeover worth up to $20,000.
