Lloyd Morrison’s Death a Great Loss to Wellington
The Wellington business community is mourning the death of a great New Zealander, Richard Stone, President of the Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce said today.
“Lloyd Morrison’s death is a great loss to Wellington and to New Zealand,” he said.
“The company he founded, Infratil is an iconic Wellington business. It was one of the first to focus on infrastructure and its subsidiaries play a major role in the lives of all Wellingtonians.
“Lloyd was committed to increasing the prosperity of the city he loved. He had a strong relationship with the Chamber and we will miss his energy and commitment.
“Lloyd was visible in many roles but he also contributed out of the public limelight.
“He was courageous and innovative. There was no ambiguity in his views and he had a single minded focus in achieving what he set out to do.
“Our condolences go to his extended family and all the staff at Infratil,” Mr Stone concluded.
