Celebrity Stylist Returns Home To NZ To Help Best Friend Launch Inspirational New Women’s Website

New Zealand born stylist to the stars Gemma Alderdice, returns home after nine years of living in London working in the high end fashion scene. Having worked for Sienna Miller for over five years & styling stars such as Reece Witherspoon & Anne Hathaway, the twenty-nine year old said she loved what she did but felt a project in New Zealand calling her home.

Collaborating with her high school best friend- Sarah de Janeiro; the twosome have launched www.howloveis.com a new inspirational website & an answer to what she felt was a lack of depth in women’s online magazine sites. “The site is aimed at the heart of women & targets much more than lip-gloss reviews & freebies”

Former TEAR Fund National Events manager & Columnist for Sunday Star Times, Sarah de Janeiro said it was amazing to not only have her best friend back in the country but to finally launch a life-time dream based on a rocky journey of being a teen Mother & an aspiring entrepreneur. She said she is looking forward to sharing a message of hope & love with other everyday kiwi woman of the day-to-day struggles of life.

Ms Alderdice said she was excited to be writing for the site a column called Style is Eternal. “The beauty of the column is that I’m not a fashion blogger with whimsical looks that normal women can neither wear nor afford but simply an everyday woman with curves who has learnt a thing or two about dressing your best whatever shape that is. I want to share the tips I’ve learnt first hand on how the stars that women look to, look the way they do.”

Other columns on the website include topics such as positive body image, parenting a child with a disability, single parenting, business & career, positively encouraging other women, relationships, men’s thoughts on women & life lessons learnt the hard way. All are based on the life of Sarah de Janeiro & friends, & have a decidedly positive spin on life.

Having only recently launched online around Valentines Day, the girls said they had been overwhelmed with the positive letters of encouragement, comments & praise they had so far received. ‘It confirms we are on the right path’ Ms Alderdice said.

Along with the site, the girls are embarking on various charity projects this year along with a series of styling & positive self-image events around the country.
