Staples Rodway Expands Network

Staples Rodway Expands Network

Leading independent accounting firm Staples Rodway has expanded its national network with the recruitment of Wellington firm Martin Jarvie.

Staples Rodway chairman Peter Guise said the Wellington recruitment filled an important gap in the Staples Rodway network which expands from six to seven offices nationwide offering existing and new clients an important link into the nation’s capital.

“We’ve been very careful about bringing in a Wellington firm as we were anxious to find the right fit for the Staples Rodway brand,” say Mr Guise. “In Martin Jarvie we have found that firm and although it has taken some time it has been worth waiting for the right Wellington partner.”

Martin Jarvie is based in heart of Wellington on The Terrace and is a full service firm that has been operating for 70 years in the capital. It has a professional and support staff of 30.

Martin Jarvie Partner Robert Elms said the decision to join Staples Rodway’s national network of independent firms would ensure the business retained its own culture and distinct Wellington independence while also bring the benefits of being a part of a strong national network and adding the international affiliation with Baker Tilly International.

“Our existing clients maintain the relationships they’ve always had with our firm, the same partners and staff, but we join a national network that brings excellent systems and processes we can adapt to improve our practice,” said Mr Elms.

“In addition we benefit from national marketing, national technical and knowledge resources and enhanced training and recruitment. We see only benefits for our clients and firm.”

Mr Guise said Martin Jarvie would officially join the Staples Rodway network from April 1, 2013 being rebranded as Staples Rodway from that date.

“It’s significant that we are able to expand our network at a time when many business remain in a holding pattern,” said Mr Guise. “That’s a strong signal to our customers and our competitors and good news for Staples Rodway.

Staples Rodway’s network includes offices in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Hastings, New Plymouth, Wellington and Christchurch.
