Award-Winning Hotel Marks Five-Year Anniversary

Award-Winning Hotel Marks Five-Year Anniversary

Award-winning Choice Hotel property, Quality Hotel Wellington is celebrating its five-year anniversary with the launch of a new accommodation offering to guests.

Located right in the heart of Cuba Quarter, Quality Hotel Wellington officially launched three fully refurbished two-bedroom apartments last night, which are now available for a one night stay, rather than just on a long term basis.

General Manager of Quality Hotel Wellington, Olivier Lacoua says launching this new option for guests was about meeting a need for short-term stay accommodation.

“We’ve recognised the strong demand for short term apartment stay in the CBD for families and business travellers,” says Lacoua. “To meet this, we are pleased to provide these refurbished two bedroom apartments to guests on a one night basis. We are looking forward to launching two more later this year.”

Quality Hotel Wellington has strived over its five years of operation to implement new room types to accommodate guest needs.

“Since 2008 we have introduced the Quality Deluxe Suite, Quality Spa Suite and now the Quality Executive Two Bedroom Apartment,” says Lacoua. “This is a part of Quality Hotel Wellingtons’ commitment to being everything that corporate and leisure travellers expect.”’

Quality Hotel Wellington, which was officially opened in 2008, sits alongside and under the same management as Comfort Hotel Wellington, part of the CQ Hotels complex.

Lacoua believes that with the introduction of the short-term apartments, the CQ complex is now covering all bases for guests; “With 114 rooms at Comfort Hotel, 62 suites at Quality Hotel and the three Executive Apartments at Quality Hotel, we now have a range of options to suit all guests.”

Quality Hotel Wellington is also adding iPad tablets to ten of its deluxe rooms, replacing the traditional paper hotel compendium. Lacoua says this is a move to “keep up with the latest technology and create a more sustainable hotel.”

Quality Hotel Wellington is one of just two Wellington hotels to offer a tablet compendium. They are planning to extend this offering to more Quality Hotel rooms in coming months.

Choice Hotels is extremely proud of this premium property says General Manager of Sales and Marketing, Aileen Cobern; “We are pleased to see Olivier and his team celebrate five successful years of operation with Quality Hotel Wellington with the introduction of more options for its guests,” says Cobern. “We look forward to many more great years with a hotel that has won numerous awards, including the highly coveted Quality Franchisee of the Year Award in 2011.”

Quality Hotel Wellington celebrated its fifth birthday and the launch of the new offering with an exclusive cocktail party, hosted last night at CQ Hotels Wellington Conference and Function Centre by CQ Hotels and Employer Wellington Chamber of Commerce.
