Clemenger Group New Zealand acquires justONE market leading CRM/Loyalty agency

Heralding the birth of a new kind of agency offer in the New Zealand market, The Clemenger Group today announced it was acquiring leading CRM/Loyalty Agency justONE and teaming it with New Zealand’s pre-eminent retail communication specialists .99. This new venture is described by Clemenger Group CEO, Jim Moser, as “an agency partnership uniquely geared towards the future of retail marketing.

“This incredibly exciting new endeavour signals a new breed of agency approach in New Zealand. It opens up new opportunities for our existing clients and a compelling offering for other Retail and Service-based organisations looking for partners who can help them get their cash registers ringing every day.

“Globally, we’re seeing a demand for integrated retail solutions that combine retail, brand and production in channels including digital, social media and increasingly loyalty, data and CRM. Harnessing this technology for retailers is critical for the future. justONE and .99 already share many clients and have an excellent working relationship, so their coming together was just a logical next step” continued Moser.

The agency partnership will operate with their existing identities and clients, but will offer their respective services to each other’s clients, and provide integrated services across shared clients. Both businesses are planning to operate out of the .99 premises on Richmond Road.

“Retail is rapidly changing with the advent of new technology and this is reshaping the shopping experience. The combined .99 and justONE offering is best placed to help clients adapt advertising and communications to meet the changing market. No one in New Zealand will be able to offer such a comprehensive level of support and insight” commented .99 founder and new Chief Creative Officer of the two companies, Craig Whitehead.

justONE founder Ben Goodale, will take on the role of Managing Director across both companies. He commented “We’re seeing the integration of data smarts, CRM and loyalty through all sorts of channels especially digital, reshaping the way retailers go to market. The partnership of justONE and .99 means we can focus on creating strategies, content, production and long term ROI for our clients whether instore, online or through services.”

In 2013, justONE has continued a stellar award winning streak securing the RSVP Grand Prix for its work on Subway’s loyalty programme at the NZ DM Awards. The agency also won big at the NZ DM awards for clients including Farmers, Farmlands, and Ziera. At the Fairfax AdMedia Agency of the Year awards, justONE won Agency of the Year titles in both 2011 and again in 2012.

.99 has enjoyed exceptional success in the past six months with an impressive five for five new business winning streak including big retail and service brands Tower Insurance, Genesis Energy and Warehouse Stationery. These major new business wins have seen .99 grow by more than 25% already this year as compared to 2012.
