Gen-i and SAP partner to mobilise NZ business and Government

MEDIA RELEASE

22 May 2013

Gen-i and SAP partner to mobilise NZ business and Government

New partnership takes organisations mobile with cloud based out-of-the-box and custom mobile applications for iOS, Android, Windows and BlackBerry platforms.

Gen-i and enterprise application software company SAP have today announced a partner agreement for the delivery of Mobility as a Service (MaaS) solutions to New Zealand businesses and Government. This is the first strategic mobile management partnership for SAP in the Asia Pacific Region.

The partnership will add considerable momentum to Gen-i’s growth strategy by significantly enhancing the company’s mobility capabilities, an area of relevance and value to New Zealand business and Government as they move towards a mobile way of working.

The rapid surge in adoption of smartphones, tablets and cloud-based social applications is driving significant social change, with users expecting ready access to information and the ability to work, conduct business, socialise, shop and play - anytime, anywhere and on any device.

Mobile applications play a critical role in enabling this. When combined with high speed networks, mobile service management, and cloud infrastructure, mobile applications can truly mobilise an organisation, delivering greater customer insight, engagement, collaboration and productivity.

The partnership between Gen-i and SAP can benefit both private and public sector organisations by improving access to mobile software applications.
