Council funds 24 projects

The Wellington City Council’s Community Sport and Recreation Committee has approved a total of $108,080 from the Social and Recreation Fund to support 24 projects.

Committee Chair, Councillor Paul Eagle says the Council is keen to support and invest in projects that make Wellington a better place to live.

“Lots of organisations do incredible things every day, many working with volunteers who want to make a real difference in their own communities.“

This is the second funding round of the 2013/14 financial year. The next closing date for applications will be 16 April 2014. Applicants can apply by visiting the Council’s website, wellington.govt.nz
