Extra Jetstar route welcomed by Chamber

Extra Jetstar route welcomed by Chamber

An extra air connection with Dunedin via a three-times-a-week Jetstar service is likely to bring more people through the capital, says Wellington Employers’ Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive John Milford.

“This is a welcomed move by Jetstar.

“It will offer business people, students, and tourists from the deep south a more direct link to Australia on the airline’s Melbourne and Coolangatta routes.

“The estimated extra 56,000 seats this service will add to Wellington Airport’s domestic market will build on the 130,000 added when Jetstar’s Australian routes were added late last year, and is a further indication of the airline’s commitment to our region.

“These extra services all offer more choice and will expose our city and region to more people, and that can only be good.”
