Key travel partners hosted in Queenstown

Media Release from Hotel St Moritz Queenstown

Key travel partners hosted in Queenstown by resorts four AccorHotels properties

Key travel partners from the inbound and wholesale sectors were recently treated to a two-day flying visit to Queenstown in advance of what’s set to be a lively summer.

The ten-strong famil group was hosted by the resort’s four AccorHotels properties including Hotel St Moritz, Novotel Queenstown, Sofitel Queenstown and the Mercure Queenstown Resort.

The trip was organised to give the agents the opportunity to revisit the four hotels and a range of Queenstown activities – some classic, some new.

It also enabled the group to see first-hand the new bathrooms at Hotel St Moritz and the comprehensive rooms and public spaces refurbishment at the Mercure Queenstown Resort.

Enjoying bluebird days and warm spring temperatures for their trip, the group was treated to a helicopter trip to check out Queenstown’s stunning scenery from above, a visit to the Highlands Motorsport Park in Cromwell, a trip on the TSS Earnslaw, a visit to Skyline and a ‘zip’ on the Ziptrek flying fox, and finally a blast on Lake Wakatipu to clear any cobwebs on a KJet jet boat.

The group savoured dinners at St Moritz and Jervois Steak House, breakfasts at the Novotel and Mercure, and al fresco lunches before flying back to Auckland.

“The Queenstown offering changes or is upgraded on such a regular basis it’s well worth our while bringing these key agents down here to ensure they have a clear picture of what’s available to their clients,” said St Moritz Queenstown Acting General Manager Jo Finnigan.

“It stimulates increased business not only for our four AccorHotels properties but for the resort as a whole because it gives the agents renewed enthusiasm for Queenstown and confidence in the strength of our products.

“They all had an absolutely fantastic time and were blown away by some activities they hadn’t experienced previously and loved re-visiting some ‘classics’ to remind them just why their clients adore this special part of the world.”

The visiting agents were: Ajay Vagha (APT Group), Carol Adams (Kuoni Group), Sherry He (ANZ Skytours), Cindy Huynh (New Zealand Journeys), Tiina Stewart (Pacific Destinationz), Steven Hoon (Prestige Pacific) and Nadege Landa (The AOT Group). They were accompanied by Frankie Lim and Arlene Lee from Accor.
