Toyota New Zealand, Driving Second Season of Reno Reality Hit Show

Toyota New Zealand is pleased to announce their commitment to the TVNZ home renovation hit series, Our First Home, for a second season.

Following a successful debut in 2015, the multi-night series follows three new families putting everything on the line to help their children onto the property ladder. It returns to TV ONE on February 14.

Our First Home is a great opportunity to grow and support the best of Kiwi life,” says Toyota New Zealand General Manager of Marketing, Andrew Davis.

“Buying and renovating your first home is becoming an increasingly privileged rite of passage for young New Zealanders and we are really excited to team up with TVNZ once again to support the next round ofOur First Home contestants.”

Competing as three teams of Kiwi families, parents will use their equity to buy, renovate and sell a home with their adult children.

The concept of family and supporting young Kiwis is aligned to Toyota values of working together and working hard to achieve your dreams. Being involved with Our First Home for a second season is a natural fit.

Toyota New Zealand will be supplying this season’s families with the all new seven-seater Toyota Fortuner SUV to transport, load, lug and carry them and their renovation needs throughout the series.

“The Fortuner is a rugged family SUV with unquestionable comfort and performance making it the ideal vehicle for the Our First Home families.”

The Fortuner was newly introduced to the Toyota New Zealand SUV line up earlier this month.

“We’re thrilled to bring our families the Fortuner with the support from Toyota New Zealand. It’ll be great exposure for the new model as a family vehicle on the series. We have a long standing relationship with Toyota – we love teaming up with a partner who share our excitement about creating must-see local content,” says TVNZ’s Lyndsey Francis, GM of Content Solutions.

Our First Home offers entertainment and drama with a strong family dynamic as it follows three families through the buying and renovation of different properties throughout Auckland, highlighting the trial and tribulations of adult children living with their parents again while they all work on the project together.
