Groundwork Associates appoints Relationship Manager

Groundwork Associates appoints Relationship Manager for The Greenspace

Groundwork Associates, based in Hamilton, has appointed a new Relationship Manager for its Hamilton East-based meeting venue The Greenspace.

Originally from Surrey, England, Neil Bolton moved to Auckland in 2007. With previous employers including Air New Zealand and international publishing giant Bauer Media, Neil decided after over 15 years within the media and advertising industries to take an 18-month break and travel the world. “Travelling gave me some new-found perspective” he says. “I didn’t want to come back and keep working long hours doing something I don’t 100% believe in. It became important to me to work with people who are helping to make our planet a better place.”

And Groundwork Associates fits that bill nicely. Since 2002, they have established a respected niche in sustainable resource management and agriculture. Their unique meeting venue The Greenspace is a tastefully-renovated 1920s bungalow that combines award winning eco-friendly design with high-tech features, creating a relaxing and refreshing meeting environment. Every room is flooded with natural light and fresh air, with views and access to lush, organic gardens.

The position neatly combines Neil’s passion for eco-sustainability, experience in building effective working relationships, and future ambitions within the Hospitality industry. “Ultimately my partner and I would like to start our own eco-hostel. We’re doing a few things here and there to progress that goal, but we’re in no rush, and in the meantime we’re really enjoying getting to know Hamilton.”
