New Ashburton Resthome and Hospital Creates 80 New Jobs
Ashburton’s new 80 room aged care facility, Radius Millstream, opens its doors at the end of May creating some 80 new jobs in the local community.
Located in Allenton and just a two minute drive from the main shopping centre, Millstream is run by the country’s largest privately owned aged care provider, Radius Care, and is set to bring a new standard of elderly care to Ashburton.
The facility is to consist of 40 hospital beds, a secure 20 bed dementia wing and a 20 bed rest-home/ hospital wing, all surrounded by garden outlooks.
Interest in the new facility has been running high according to Radius Special Projects Manager, Helen Somers, and bookings have already been made ahead of building completion.
“We now need staff and are looking for an array of carers, cooks and admin staff for both part-time and full time positions,” explains Helen. “We welcome all expressions of interest and are hoping to fill roles in the coming weeks so for further information, people should call 027 22 13156 or collect an application form from the Lochlea Lifestyle Resort,” she says.
Radius Care has over 21 facilities and employs over 1400 staff throughout the country.
