Popular Apple retail chain rebrands as OOBE

The popular Yoobee chain of Apple Computer retail stores has rebranded as OOBE.

The chain has been a popular outlet for Apple computers and accessories in New Zealand with high visibility stores in the CBDs of Auckland, Hamilton, Wellington, Christchurch and Fiji.

Explaining the change in branding, CEO of Yoobee, Daven Naidu says, “For the past two-and-a-half years, Yoobee Retail has shared its name with the AGC Yoobee School of Design.”

“While this has been great, this shared identity of Yoobee across two different establishments in two different industries, it has caused confusion in the market place.”

Apart from the new branding, the chain will continue to operate as usual, Mr Naidu adds. “As has always been the case, OOBE will provide specialist retailing, servicing, as well as providing a very large percentage of warranty and non-warranty service for all Apple products and accessories.”

The company has provided specialised IT support and expertise for businesses across New Zealand, helping businesses integrate both Apple and Microsoft technologies to create more efficient and cost effective digital environments.

The new identity, OOBE, conveys the company’s vision in a more creative and coherent way, according to Mr Naidu. The joy of unpacking a smart new piece of technology is unparalleled in modern life, he says.

“For instance, opening a new Apple product from its neatly presented box is an experience. With OOBE, we’ve captured that unique and highly pleasurable ‘Out Of Box Experience’. Hence OOBE. What’s more, we’ve always thought out of the box for providing creative solutions to our clientele,” Mr Naidu adds.
