Cornerstone $10m Investment By CEFC
To Complete Thinxtra’s First Nationwide Networks Dedicated To IoT

Thinxtra is pleased to announce Australian Government funding via the CEFC. Joining Thinxtra's other investors, this has completed Thinxtra's Series B in which it has raised $20m and is now fully funded. Thinxtra plans to have 95% of the population in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong covered by year end. More info

At Thinxtra, we all envy our network deployment team because they have the chance to visit and install Sigfox antennas on amazing sites (with a view) in Australia, New Zealand (and now Hong Kong as well). A 14 year Old Kid from NZ Showcased His Use of the Xkit

“My previous pet bird died due to heat or him falling off his perch. So I decided to look for a solution. This Xkit is great, I really like how it comes packed with sensors and can be programmed with an Arduino!” says Xavier. What started as a simple idea became a real project with a sophisticated flow chart. PiP Sensor Technology from NZ Could Clean Up Bin, Sigfox Ready

Overflowing rubbish bins in public parks could be wiped out if new sensors being trialed locally prove successful. The bin sensors have been attached to rubbish bins in a Ferrymead park as a pilot to test the new technology. A few more of the low cost sensors will be deployed at rubbish trouble spots around the city in the next few weeks, as part of several initiatives to be rolled out by the Council's Smart Cities program. Watergroup Launches Leak Insurance

Leaks result in the loss of more than 200 billion litres of water each year in Australia. WaterGroup, has introduced a new service called Leak Insurance, using Sigfox-based smart water meters to identify leaks effectively as soon as they occur. This enables customers to take the appropriate action to avoid further loss of water and reduce damages to their property.
