Country’s largest annual motorhome, caravan and outdoor expo building for even bigger show

New Zealand’s largest annual motorhome, caravan and outdoor expo, the Covi NZMCA Insurance Motorhome, Caravan & Outdoor SuperShow, is building for an even bigger show with the introduction of a dedicated accessories hall and marque.

The dates for next year’s show at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds is Friday, Saturday and Sunday the 16th, 17 and 18th of March with organizers keen to build on this year’s successful show that saw a record 220 motorhomes and caravans sold that was an increase of 29 percent on last year.

“For the first time we have estimated total sales at the show to be between $28 and $30 million, well up on previous years.” Covi SuperShow Managing Director, David Culpan said. “We are enthusiastically planning another great event that will once again set the benchmark for motorhome, caravan and outdoor lifestyle shows in New Zealand.”

To meet the ever increasing demand for space the Covi SuperShow is introducing two new Halls and a new marque for 2018 that will feature a dedicated accessories area. “These two dedicated facilities will be a mecca for all visitors wanting motorhome and caravan accessories,” Culpan said.

“It was another fantastic show in March again this year. We had to add additional space making the outside area much larger than ever before and we had over 19,000 people through the gates which was a record. Exhibitors experienced record sales and we had great feedback from visitors attending but we know we have to keep improving and learning from each year’s show.”

Culpan says exclusive highlights for March next year will include another ‘fantastic gate prize,’ the RV SuperCentre sponsored four week Motorhome holiday in the UK and Europe that was won this year by Luciano Giacon from Paraparaumu who came to the show especially with his partner to research the purchase of their first motorhome.

The Covi SuperShow features the best motorhomes, caravans and accessories from New Zealand and around the world with a number of exhibitors choosing to exclusively launch new models and products at the show each year. The show also has a $10,000 Covi Cashback prize with anyone purchasing a vehicle over $30,000 eligible to win.
