Volunteering NZ Chief Executive, Scott Miller, has announced his resignation, effective Friday, 20 July 2018.

Scott has led the organisation since April 2015, and has thoroughly enjoyed developing the organisation’s professional membership, revenues streams and value-proposition by delivering on the organisation’s strategic plan of boldly leading the sector with leadership and innovation.

Volunteering New Zealand Board Chair Helga Wientjes, has accepted with regret Scott’s resignation. “Scott has provided relentless energy to Volunteering New Zealand. Under his leadership, Volunteering New Zealand has grown and expanded its impact. Although we will miss him, the organisation is in great shape for a new leader to develop further.”

Scott states ‘that while there have been many highlights in my three years in the role, being an incubator of talent to more than 60 paid and volunteers’ efforts would be my proudest achievement.’

Scott adds his ‘thanks and recognition to both previous and the current Chairs and Board-members, and the wonderful array of members, Ministers, MPs and stakeholders that have enabled my success, and that of my team.’

Scott commences his new role as Chief Executive of Volunteering Victoria (Australia) on Monday, 23 July 2018.
