Simon says… “Free feed for all Simons”

11th July 2018

The Simon

In honour of the original Simon, creator of the massive 5x5 meat and cheese monstrosity ‘The Simon’, Kiwi-owned and operated Better Burger wants to treat as many Simons as possible in one day.

For one day only anybody named Simon* can score a free cheeseburger at any of Better Burger’s four Auckland locations – just by showing I.D.!

The deal also applies to hungry customers with the name Simone, Saimone (Tongan), Simona (Samoan) and Haimona, Himiona and Taimona (Maori) and includes middle names.

And for those feeling the low-carb buzz, fresh lettuce wraps will be available in place of the bun.

Why? All in the name of an epic menu hack. The original Simon from West Auckland hacked the Better Burger menu for his meaty creation and the chain is celebrating by feeding everyone with the same name.

Better Burger is all about making your fast food better with menu hacks.

• Try saying ‘make it epic’ to unlock fries with added mustard and grilled onions

• Utter ‘superstar it’ to add to your burger a juicy, crumbed Portobello mushroom

What: A free cheeseburger for anyone named Simon* (one per customer with I.D.)

Where: Better Burger restaurants: Sylvia Park, Britomart Transport Centre, Vulcan Lane and Mt Eden

When: Wednesday 11th July, 11am till close

* includes Simone, Saimone, Simona, Haimona, Himiona and Taimona and middle names
