Sharemilkers Must Be Protected |
||
Dairy Farmers of New Zealand Chairman Charlie Pedersen said today that his executive was putting its full weight behind proposals that aim to ensure that - as a minimum - New Zealand sharemilkers have their status preserved after changes that will occur with the formation of the Mega Co.
"We suggest that sharemilkers, at the least, have an extra clause inserted in their contracts to guarantee they are not left trying to negotiate later."
"The suggested clause is available to DFNZ members by phoning 0800 FARMING, and is already included in the latest copy of the Federated Farmers standard sharemilking contract."
"Any non-DFNZ member sharemilkers should contact their own lobby group for immediate advice and assistance, or join Federated Farmers." Mr Pedersen said.
"I urge all sharemilkers to act. Not acting now will harm their futures," concluded Mr Pedersen.
