ABB And ACC Technologies Launch Strategic Alliance

ABB And ACC Technologies Announce Strategic Alliance Focused On Value Creation In The Manufacturing Industry

ABB Business Unit Management Consulting (BUMC), in co- operation with and supported by ABC Technologies (ABC Tech), announces the formation of Global Manufacturing Value Creation Centers to promote Activity Based Management/Activity Based Costing software, methodologies and related services in manufacturing industries.

ABB has established two manufacturing value creation centers in Zurich, Switzerland and Hunt Valley, Maryland (USA) in order to provide technical application services, implementation services, and executive education.

The alliance will work with clients worldwide in the full range of manufacturing and utility industries including energy, life science, consumer goods, automotive, chemicals, textiles, metals, and pulp and paper.

Particular emphasis will be placed upon techniques to link business strategy, business process capabilities, and information and automation systems in order to develop shareholder value, operational excellence and a sustainable competitive advantage.

Andreas Schulte, Vice President of BUMC states, "The move into this alliance demonstrates ABB's intention to expand its business in markets that offer high growth and where ABB can use its proven technology strengths and presence to achieve global leadership. This is also consistent with ABB's strategic shift within the last two years to expand knowledge and service based businesses. This alliance is dedicated to Oros technology from ABC Technologies. This, in conjunction with ABC Technologies' partnership with SAP AG should provide the market with unparalleled value."
