The Luckiest Place In New Zealand To Buy A Car
SOUTHLAND, THE LUCKIEST PLACE IN NEW ZEALAND TO BUY A CAR
Southland has had an amazing run of luck with car dealers in the area giving away $65,000 in cash and cars to lucky car buyers.
Local car dealer's use a promotion provided by promotions company, Sports & Events Marketing to attract buyers to their premises. Numbered invitations are sent to households in Southland inviting the public to visit the yard of the car dealer. When the member of the public visits the dealers yard they are given the opportunity to match their numbered invitation to the lucky number displayed. If the numbers match, the person wins the prize.
Over the past four months, three lucky Southland people have matched their numbers, winning $65,000 in cash and cars between them.
Sports & Events Marketing's Managing Director, David Baty, can't explain why Southlanders are so lucky.
"We have staged this promotion throughout New Zealand, Australia and the USA and have never had a group of winners in the same promotion from the same area in such a short period of time.
"The first winner with Carnaby Cars was great, next Trevor Boyle Motors produced a winner and then McLellan Motors had a winner two weekends ago, proving that luck plays a big part in winning any contest."
Sports & Events Marketing and associate company Golf Marketing have had nearly $200,000 won in their promotions to date. Winners efforts have included such feats as rolling dice, sinking 60-foot golf putts, hitting hole in one's at golf events and throwing paper darts 45 feet into containers.
Sports & Events/Golf Marketing have recently moved into the Australian market with offices being established in Brisbane.
