Statement From Paul Holmes

When I read in the NZ Herald "Holmes Loses in TVNZ Pay Cuts" I assumed that the Chairman had actually discussed my salary with the Herald and in so doing had breached the confidentiality of my contract.

Ross has now assured me that this was not the case and I therefore withdraw my statements to the media.

I wish to apologise to Ross and his family for any upset caused by my reaction.

I regret making any comment that appeared to impugn the integrity of the Chairman.
