Friday 16th - Zen & MU - Gotta love Friday nights at the Matterhorn, always packed and pumping out the finest relaxing tunes to escape the work day woes. Zen and Mu slap on the songs that make the young girls cry.

Saturday 17th - The Late show with Vee and Sean Special Saturday night installation of monkey mixing madness. Vee is joined by special guest Bass Frontiers drum and bass DJ supreme Sean!

Sunday 18th - Spot On Sundays Join as at The Matterhorn for our new entertainment directive for the late summer months. Now we bring you Spot On Sundays, a late afternoon session in the Matterhorn Gardens with the navigator Zero playing a refreshing and relaxing blend of mood grooves. A friends and family session starting with the live broadcast of Gilles Peterson Worldwide from Radio Active 89FM 6-8pm

Wednesday 21st - Jonathan Crayford Jonathan Crayford and his scratch band play live jazz jams the middle Wednesdays of the month. Join the Matterhorn crew for a lively evening of jazz noodles. Crayford is the bomb session musician who has played amongst legends James Brown and Tito Puente.

Thursday 22nd - Expansions with b.lo Bass Frontiers resident b-lo is the Matterhorn¹s weekly smart vibes; his Thursday night residency at The Matterhorn is a popular weekend warm-up. b-lo plays all styles from drum and bass, jazz and techno all knitted with funk and soul b-lo's dancefloor is never an empty one, try it out for a great alternative to the packed weekend nights at The Matterhorn.

Saturday 24th - The Jewel School Vs The Soul Emergency Join us for Cuba Carnival madness as we duel two of our favourite sound sytems in true jazz funk and soul style. Representing the Jewel School is DJ Ah UM with Afro-beat, jazz and sorted funk and big upping for the Soul Emergency is Toby Hornblower dishing up soul, jazz and disco delights. Be there!

Plus playing at the Jazz stage at The Cuba Street Carnival you can hear Steffan Goeres, Woody, Isotope, Jonathan Crayford, Twinset and heaps of cool Matterhorn DJs... that's 11am-10pm Saturday 24th and 11am - 8pm Sunday 25th.

Wednesday 28th - DJ Ah Um with special guest Top Knot local DJ, AH UM produces The Zambesi Jewel School on Radio Active 89FM every Saturday with ZenŠ His favours are bent on Africa-jazz, ghetto funk and soulful instrumentals. Come check AH UM¹s nu urban jazz and soul spirit. This week Ah Um is supported by Aotearoa Sound Systems' DJ Top Knot also a jazz and afro rhythms nerd. should be good.

Thursday 1st - Your MC for the millennium KING KAPISI Orientation 2001 is proud to bring you the very best in Aotearoa hip hop, King Kapisi, together with DJ's Raw and Vee, in the intimate atmosphere of the Matterhorn Gardens, as some of the premier playas in our home-grown hip hop scene come together for a very special show. Do not miss this opportunity to see Aotearoa¹s premier hip hop artists in the gardens of the Matterhorn, Thursday 1st March. Students $8, Wellingtonians $10, tickets on the door from 9pm.

Friday 2nd - Mu and mates Matterhorn mainstay Mu, the heavyweight champ of local DJs, showcases his selection in an evening with Mu and Friends, Friday 2nd March.

Saturday 3rd - Electric Brasil Initiated at The New Jazz Transplant, in the spirit of Orientation and good clean Latin fun we present another installation of Electric Brasil. Get your fruity self down to this butt wiggling session of hip swinging brasilian and brasil influenced samba magic. Get your groove on with DJs Cian, Cuff and Zen and guests.

Wednesday 7th - The Domestic Lounge featuring Twinset Twist away to the beauteous sounds of Wellington¹s most co-ordinated jazz ensemble. Let Twinset caress your mid week woes away to the tune of funky live lounge and jazz. If you haven't caught them yet, do so. A recommended pick of the month.
