This week @ BATS

After a weekend of sellout shows BATS are proud to present to you.......

INSOMNIA¹

Season: Tuesday 8 - Saturday 12 May Time: 7.00pm Tickets: waged $15.00 / concession $12.00

How many sheep does it take? Sheep and sleep and leaping sheep. Creeping sheep and sheep in Jeeps. Beeping Jeeps and sheep(s). It doesn't matter how he combines them, this guy has a distinct inability to nap. He has some friends. They try to help him sleep. Without the sheep. A play about sleep deprivation with Ants Heath, Carey Smith, Tina Helm and James Stewart.

Jon Stubbs in THE MERINOS¹

Season: Tuesday 8 - Saturday 12 May Time: 8.30pm Tickets: waged $12.00 / concession $10.00

2001 TV2 BILLY T AWARD Nominee

'A genuine original New Zealand talent...don't miss him.' - Evening Post 2001

They've come to steal one of ours...

New York mafia boss Nicky 'Fast hands' Bambina has been out-dressed once too often. When he orders wise guy Vinnie Tagliatelle to bring him the source of the very best Merino wool (from, like, New Zealand) things can only get disturbingly complicated. Alone in a strange land (the South Island), Vinnie finds love, green grass and a startling rural ritual. A classic tale-of-cultural-clash-based-on-a-true-story show ( well kinda ).

Honorary Wellingtonian and the star of award-winning Fringe 2001 hit 'Being Jon Stubbs' is back in town (again) with his latest show. Don't miss it - capisce!

Jan Maree in "IT'S IN THE BAG!"

Season: Tuesday 8 May (preview), Wednesday 9 - Saturday 12 May Time: 10.00pm Tickets: waged $10.00 / concession $8.00 / preview $5.00

Fast and furious filthy fun!

Just like the game showŠ only not.

Karaoke, prizes, fairy lights, a giant handbag and real live contestsŠ Wellington¹s own one girl whirlwind is home-with fifty filthy minutes of comedy in her new show "It¹s in the Bag!".

Jan Maree¹s superb stand-up storytelling meets the garish game-show genre in a spellbinding jaunt through the last thirteen years of her life, most of which were spent looking for a root husband.

Just kidding! Which is what Jan Maree does best. If you have ever been out on a mission to drink a skinful and have sex with a stranger then best you get along and see this show! Better still, fill in an application form at the door and be part of it!

PLEASE NOTE: Strictly R-18, contains sex, drugs, booze, bad language and audience participation.
