Children To Benefit From Hard Rock Cafe Sellout

Children To Benefit From Hard Rock Cafe Ticket Sellout

The official charity opening of the world’s newest Hard Rock Cafe has already sold out.

The $85 tickets for the concert, to launch the Hard Rock Cafe in Queenstown this Friday, 22nd June, were scooped up within ten days of going on sale. A waiting list is being kept in lieu of cancellations.

Proceeds from the evening will go to Variety – The Children’s Charity.

“We’re thrilled that the tickets have sold out so quickly,” says Nicole Bassett, Executive Director of Variety – The Children’s Charity.

“Funds raised from the concert are going towards worthwhile community projects to help sick, needy and disadvantaged New Zealand children. We are so grateful to Hard Rock Cafe for their contribution.”

Naming Variety – The Children’s Charity as beneficiaries of the exclusive official opening event is in keeping with the Hard Rock Cafe’s strong social and environmental philosophies. Variety has a proven track record of hosting high-calibre events that raise funds for needy children. Since its launch in New Zealand in 1989 the charity has successfully raised over $6 million for the country’s children.

Staying true to their reputation for hosting star-studded parties with exceptional entertainment, Hard Rock Cafe’s opening festivities will feature Australian guitar legend Diesel.

“The strong demand for the tickets is testimony to the buzz and excitement that is building for his performance,” says Hard Rock Cafe spokesperson, Caroline Davidson.

“Hard Rock Cafe has a reputation for putting on fantastic parties with the best rock music, and Diesel is guaranteed to treat ticket holders to an unforgettable evening.”

Diesel was flown in from New York, where he has been living for the past four years, especially to perform at the Hard Rock Cafes in Australia to celebrate the famous brand’s 30th anniversary this month.

Diesel arrives in New Zealand this week to perform at the exclusive charity opening in Queenstown on Friday.
