snow.co.nz & BachClub Private Chalet/Bach Rental

snow.co.nz Teams Up With BachClub To Offer Private Chalet/Bach Rental

snow.co.nz, the nations premier winter-sport portal, has teamed up with BachClub.co.nz to provide a private bach/chalet accommodation search facility for the nations skiers and snow boarders.

"Kiwi skiers and snowboarders grew up using friends' and families' baches and ski chalets. The facilities provided by BachClub effectively extend this network to the entire country!", says David Watt, marketing manager for Snow.co.nz.

"Winter can be a pretty quiet time for holiday home rental", says BachClub's Peter Miles - "we've been looking for a channel to attract rental interest for our members with properties in winter sports regions. Snow.co.nz have done a fantastic job at positioning themselves as the nations winter-sport portal. This gives bach/chalet owners and property managers the opportunity to get their rental listing to a potential audience of around 10,000 people per day!"

Watt says that the arrangement lets each website focus on what it does best. "Teaming up with BachClub makes a ton of sense for us. Snow.co.nz needs to focus its resources on winter-sport content. Partnering with BachClub lets us provide a sophisticated accommodation search facility without diverting critical resources".

Snow.co.nz is NZ's premier winter-sports portal providing Snow reports and news for all of the nations major ski & snowboard areas, and a majority of the Club fields. The site was awarded "Winner of the ANZ Interactive Awards 2000 - Sports & Leisure category" and is the Tourism Marketing Network's Official Winter Website for 2001.

Started last year by Aucklanders Peter Miles and Simon Morgan, BachClub provides tools and facilities for bach owners and property managers of private holiday homes. The website lets owners or managers create "virtual bach communities" (BachClubs) allowing information about the bach to be securely shared between friends and family. Once a club has been created, it becomes an easy step to create a listing and make the bach available for public rental on the snow.co.nz site.
