Nat. Rad. Launches Personal Investment Programme

Begins

National Radio Launches Personal Investment Programme

A new radio series called Your Money begins on National Radio on Tuesday October 30 at 7.30 pm.
The weekly programme will cover news about personal investment opportunities and the full range of alternatives available to the individual investor.

Programme presenter will be Bruce Wallace, author of the recently released book Battle of the Titans about the rise and fall of Fletcher Challenge. Wallace said that he was excited to be involved in a programme which was aimed squarely at individual financial management.

“We want to help people make those difficult decisions about what to do with their money, particularly as many people today are uncertain about what might happen in their retirement,” said Wallace. “We are not going to be financial advisors but will provide information about the huge range of choices available today for people of all ages.”

The programme will interview experts in personal finance as well as cover the major news event of each week.

“We plan to be relevant and up to date so that each Tuesday night we will also be reporting on the big events of the moment on the financial markets,” Wallace commented.

Bruce Wallace, 54, will be drawing on his experience as a journalist for 30 years and as an executive at both Fletcher Challenge and Television New Zealand. Wallace has worked mainly in radio and television and was a correspondent for the National Business Review.
He is a media industry advocate and freelance journalist and is based in Wellington.
