See and buy at Newmarket Fashion Friday

See and buy at Newmarket Fashion Friday

Not all the fun and fashion at L’Oréal New Zealand Fashion Week is the preserve of official delegates and media.

Members of the public get their chance to see the collections at Newmarket Fashion Friday on October 25.

That’s when a number of the week’s exhibitors bring out their hottest summer 2002 designs, hair and make-up for the benefit for Kiwi fashion followers.

The action begins at 11am and then from 12.15pm every hour on the hour leading Newmarket fashion retailers will present seven parades featuring in-season fashion.

And if they like what they see, members of the public will be able to buy in-season garments from the Newmarket retailers participating in the parades.

Then in the evening, the Style on Stage catwalk show highlights the week’s autumn / winter 2003 designer collections.

Supported by the Newmarket Business Association, the full day’s programme will also feature makeovers by industry experts and you’ll be able to buy clothes and accessories from the exhibitors.

Express manicures and quick comb-ups will also be the order of the day in the convenient L’Oréal Paris Powder Room in the Town Hall just off Aotea Square.

And if it all gets too much to take in, visitors can relax in the Deutz Bar in the Town Hall or the Fashion Café in the Nokia Marquee in Aotea Square.

Tickets for the entire day are a mere $10 each or $5 more if you want to include the Style on Stage presentation in the Beaumont Quarter Great Hall on the Friday night at 8pm.
