The Bendon Summer 03 Collections

Good Things Come In Small Packages - The Bendon Summer 03 Collections

Bendon Ltd brands this week launched its Summer 03 collections at a lavish event held at Old Government House in Auckland.

For almost two hours the audience was treated to a sneak preview of upcoming summer lingerie fashions from Elle Macpherson Intimates, Bendon lingerie, hey sister! and Fayreform.

In a show titled "good things come in small packages", models appeared at with 1920s-inspired hair and makeup - beauty spots, scarlet cheeks and finger-waved hair. Other touches included gorgeous mementos from the 1920s - hat boxes, feather boas, chocolate boxes and decorative wrappings.

New looks ranged from the 1920s inspired romance of Elle Macpherson Intimates and the updated antique treasures of Bendon Lingerie through to the new fashion styling of Fayreform and the ever funky hey sister!

The key theme for Elle Macpherson Intimates draws on the detailing and trimmings of a bygone era. Think chocolate boxes, fripperies and fancies, bon bons and the most beautiful of gift wrappings. Past influences are given a modern interpretation with the use of latest technology fabrications and reference to the sensual satins and dot patterns appearing in fashion runway collections.

Bendon Lingerie also nods at the past with treasured styling and intricate detailing, again interpreted in line with high shine outerwear trends. Best-selling Bendon Lingerie ranges such as Body Basics are reworked in luxury jacquards, and Body Sheer makes an appearance in dramatic florals.

Fayreform brings a new fashion perspective to structured lingerie, with indulgent and ultra-feminine design. Look out for the new Fayreform Mondo collection and the debut of a new cotton lycra camisole, featuring a vintage ticking stripe and lace edgings. Jacquard and mesh fabrication also make an appearance alongside the exquisite floral embroideries and strong fit factor that Fayreform is most known for.

And hey sister! rocks on with a selection of key ranges designed for fun and fashion. Influences this season include Americana, the military and pretty in pink (and red, and white) florals.
