Lomu departs for Hong Kong Sevens

Jonah Lomu left Auckland today to attend the Hong Kong Sevens event, as a guest of the IRB and the Hong Kong Rugby Football Union.

It was at this event ten years ago that Lomu’s career as an international rugby name started, and it remains an important event for him. The event runs from 26-28 March 2004 and is described as the premier tournament on the World Sevens Series in Rugby Union.

While in Hong Kong, Lomu will spend time with both the IRB and the Hong Kong Rugby Union undertaking some media interviews and attending the final dinner.

While there is no formal relationship between Lomu and the IRB, Lomu remains open to talks about the future.
