The South Island’s largest inner city music event was established in 2000, Unity has consistently achieved sellout crowds with last years event attracting numbers well in excess of 3000 people. The 12 hour festival named Unity will be held across 12 zones on Thursday 13th April 2006 in the heart of Christchurch City with the focus of Unity this year being ‘homegrown New Zealand music & artists’

Prominent Productions have ensured the variety of acts on offer this year cover every genre from rock to dub, funk to hip hop, drum’n’bass to house, jazz to breaks and every genre in between.

Prominent Productions can confirm the following acts at time of release: Rhombus, Stereogram, State of Mind, The D4, Shapeshifter Sound System, Hollie Smith, Minuit Nomad & MC Antsman, Timmy Schumacher, Solaa, P Bass Expressway, Pitch Black, Antix, Masterpilot, Dick Johnson and many more to be announced…

The concept behind Unity has always been simple: ‘To recognize the current trends in New Zealand music & entertainment, to bring together the finest available live acts, Djs, MC’s, & VJ’s and present them in a 12 hour, multi stage, multi venue and multi genre festival – To create Unity.

Unity has been established as the biggest and most anticipated music event Christchurch has on offer.

Unity 2006 is proud to announce the inclusion of an all ages venue in association with White Elephant Trust.

We recognise music education and support is key to the growth of our local and national music culture. To host an all ages zone and to include this in Unity is an opportunity to help promote up and coming talent as well as providing the youth market with a ticket to one of the music events of the year.

Although this is the only venue open to the youth market on the night, any Unity ticket holders are welcome to check out the future generation of electronic music.

All ages tickets will be $10 Pre Sale Tickets are available from Hunters & Collectors now. All other tickets $45 + booking fee.
