Attention arts organisations and Frontseat viewers

Attention artists, arts organisations and Frontseat viewers.

TV One arts show Frontseat is back soon for a spring season and we want your story ideas, arts diary submissions and competition entries.

Produced by The Gibson Group, Frontseat returns to TV One's dedicated 10.30pm arts slot on Sunday 17th September with visually enticing arts stories, consumer info for the arts-lover, opinionated reviews, a comprehensive arts news round-up, an events diary that shows off the breadth of the local scene, weekly prizes and a national competition.

Host Oliver Driver will be in the thick of the arts scene, presenting the show from a variety of happening venues and filing special reports. Headline-making journalist Josie McNaught will continue to report the big front-page arts news first. They'll be joined by the Frontseat Critics, a hand-picked selection of familiar faces who have arts to praise and axes to grind.

A highlight of the season will be the Great Frontseat Search. Last season, the show celebrated local painters and painting with Frontseat's Search for the Greatest New Zealand Painting. The winner - by a long-shot - was "Cass" by Rita Angus.

This season, Frontseat's Search for the Greatest Line in a New Zealand Film celebrates scripts, script-writing, and those moments when celluloid history is made and our vernacular is forever changed. Think eggs demanding to be cooked, cars being taken all the way to Invercargill, and kiddies yelling "sucker lucker" at each other.

Your nominations, along with story ideas and arts diary submissions, can be emailed to Frontseat's researcher Gabe McDonnell at gabe@frontseat.co.nz.
