Openair Cinema to travel further

Media Release, 20 December 2006

Openair Cinema to travel further and offer more screenings than ever before

Al fresco films are back with the return of one of New Zealand’s summer favourites, Openair Cinema.

This year, thanks to sponsorship from Westpac, Openair Cinema, which ran for three years at the Viaduct Harbour in Auckland, will be travelling to more venues and presenting more screenings than ever before. Highlights in the programme are the Classics ‘Grease’ and ‘Breakfast at Tiffany’s’, the New Zealand premiere of ‘Glastonbury’ in Henderson, a Documentary about the longest running Music Festival in the world, and the brand-new remake of ‘Charlotte’s Web’.

From Matakana, to Pauanui and many more between, a wide range of films will be shown to suit all ages. All Openair Cinema events will have a grass area provided inviting people to bring their own seating or just a blanket.

The programmes for the different venues are published on www.openair.co.nz from mid December. Tickets can be bought at the gate at the different venues and will be $13 for Adults, $11 for Senior Citizen and Students and $7 for Kids under 12 years of age.
