Featuring collaborations by Michael Hawkins with Wellington band the Resistance and Gabby O'Connor with the students from Island Bay School, special guests and the Wellington Art Centre Community.

It’s about ROCK in all its definitions.
With Rocks that Roll and Rock and Roll.
Weekly Art-Rock performances and an installation that shifts constantly.

Public Performances: featuring Wellington Band: The Resistance and artist Michael Hawkins
6pm – Opening: Friday 16 February, 23rd Feb and Closing performance 2nd March

Art Workshop for ages 5 to 101 - make a rock with Gabby
Saturdays 17th and 24th Feb 10-4 pm

The Rock Show will combine elements of installation, collaboration, music and performance. The Rock Show juxtaposes the latest work by artists Gabby O’Connor and Michael Hawkins. Two different artistic approaches share a common denominator that gives the joint show its name; their latest projects are both Rock projects, though in entirely different senses of the word.
