Tauranga Lotto Player Lives The Dream

One lucky Lotto player in Tauranga will be able to live their dreams after winning $1 million tonight on Lotto First Division, says NZ Lotteries' Chief Executive, Todd McLeay.

The ticket was purchased at Brookfield New World in Tauranga.

"What better way to finish up the school holidays than with a First Division windfall for our player in Tauranga who can look ahead to the Spring with some extra cash in their wallet," says Mr McLeay.

Powerball has jackpotted and will be worth an estimated $2 million in next week's draw.

Strike Four has also jackpotted tonight to an estimated $200,000 in next week's draw.

Tonight's other big winner was Regan Hadlow from Tokoroa, who spun Lotto's Winning Wheel and won $175,000.

As part of this prize, Regan and his partner Lindsay, enjoyed a luxury stay at the Duxton Hotel in Wellington, a shopping trip with a stylist for an outfit to wear on the show, and lunch with Lotto presenter Kyllee King-Turner, leading up to his winning spin.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.

Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Omokoroa Beach Store in Omokoroa, Western Bay of Plenty. The serial number is 681-38769154-20XX.

"Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any NZ Lotteries outlet," Mr McLeay says.
