Public encouraged to ‘confess’their bad jokes

A confessional where people can unburden themselves of sinful or just plain bad jokes opens in Christchurch this week in a soul-cleansing initiative by organisers of the World Buskers Festival.

The confessional will be open for four hours each day throughout the course of the festival so people can “confess’’ their naughty or naff jokes and seek repentance.

It’s the brainchild of festival organiser Jodi Wright who was inspired to provide a venue for people to come clean with their dirty jokes while attending the Just for Laughs festival in Montreal.
